This Mississippi Delta vacation, split between the cities of Tunica and Clarksdale, Mississippi, will have you singing the blues, swinging the golf clubs, and spending time in the casino capital of the south. If you're in a blues mood, Clarksdale's the place to begin this trip; hometown legacies like Muddy Waters, W.C. Handy, and Robert Johnson helped make this area the cradle of the blues. In historic Blues Alley, check out the Delta Blues Museum, as well as the Ground Zero Blues Club (co-owned by actor Morgan Freeman); you can grab some southern vittles there or eat upscale at the actor's nearby restaurant, Madidi. Head northeast up US 61 and US 49 to Tunica, Mississippi, for your choice of nine themed casinos, including Horseshoe Casino and Harrah's Grand Casino Resort, and three championship golf courses, including Tunica National Golf & Tennis. On your way up the "Blues Highway," stop at Blue & White Restaurant for greens, grits, and other Mississippi delights.
