A mysterious light in the night sky; a Bigfoot-like creature; alligators and dinosaurs; tales of old-time outlaws and hanging judges, of gangsters and madams, of haunted hostelries and museums---these things and more are all a part of this road trip. You’ll start in Joplin, MO, with its mysterious Spook Light, and head south into Arkansas, along the edges of the Ozark National Forest and to the storied frontier town of Fort Smith. You’ll then travel southeast, amid the Ouachita National Forest, to the resort city (and onetime gangster hangout) of Hot Springs, before heading down to Fouke, AR, the home of the legendary Southern Sasquatch. Along the way you can explore the woods, relax at a spa, eat Southern comfort food, and enjoy many other attractions----eerie and not---that this region has to offer.
